Town Council Subcommittee

The Community Development and Public Services Committee reviews, discusses, and evaluates in greater detail specific issues that directly impact the quality and sustainability of Town infrastructure, facilities, and services.

The Committee also:

Oversees community services including parks, recreation, arts and culture.
Reviews, discusses, and evaluates in greater detail specific issues related to matters of public safety and emergency preparedeness efforts, including Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue, Beaufort County Sheriff's Office and beach operations.
Manages the appointments to Town boards and committees.
Provides guidance on planning, zoning, land use, workforce housing and development, and other related regulatory matters.
